Sí, lo he visto. En el log veo repetidos estos mensajes "Update is not
allowed to download due to regulation". ¿Actualizas XP a alguna hora
especial del día? ¿El error te pasa a cualquier hora del día? Ese error
que cito puede deberse a una saturación del servidor. Por otra parte,
también están los errores "Update Service: Failed to
update backup store" que indican la corrupción de la carpeta
SoftwareDistribution.

Las actualizaciones las tengo puestas en:"Descargar actualizaciones por
mi,pero permitirme elegir cuando instalarlas" es decir la segunda opcion de
la cuatro que existen, y siempre sucede cuando enciendo el ordenador varias
veces al dia, lo que me dices de la carpeta que esté corrupta
SoftwareDistribution es posible porque hace dos meses me paso lo mismo y creo
recordar que me dijiste que la eliminara,así hice y enseguida se me bajaron
las actualizaciones,lo que me extraña es que el mes pasado se me bajaron sin
ningun problema.

especial del día? ¿El error te pasa a cualquier hora del día? Ese error
que cito puede deberse a una saturación del servidor. Por otra parte,
también están los errores "Update Service: Failed to
update backup store" que indican la corrupción de la carpeta
SoftwareDistribution.

Verás, es que cuando el servicio de actualización intenta conectarse y
falla esa carpeta queda corrupta. ¿Tú tienes problemas de conexión?
Prueba a reinstalar los drivers de lo que te conecta a Internet (modem,
tarjeta de red, ADSL, etc.)

No tengo ningun problema de conexion y lo mas sorprendente es que hoy jueves
al encender el ordenador a las 9 de la mañana se han descargado
correctamente, por lo que deduzco que debia ser un problema de saturación de
los servidores como bien tu decias. Un saludo
