Que hago con este disco duro??

puse el DD en su sitio

OK

conete los cables
lo puse como master
prendi la pc
fue al bios e hize que detectara el DD

OK

sali y segun el manual podia poner el cd o diskette para hacerle formatear
(el Hard Disk no venia con anda mas, ni cd, ni diskette)
puse el cd de windows xp para que lo haga el solo
empezo normal, arrancando, pero se paro y me salia error

Debes cambiar en BIOS la secuencia de arranque de los dispositivos y colocar
el CD como primer dispositivo de arranque, algo asi como "first boot
device", dependera de cada BIOS, de esta manera, podras formatear e instalar
el sistema.

reinicie y fui a la pagina del fabricante
baje el software e hize lo q me dijieron
al final todo se ejecuta como DOS y al final de todo me sale c: y me dice
que reinicie
lo hago pero no pasa nada

No se que soft es ese, pero no es el procedimiento, espero que no sea alguna
utilidad de formatea a bajo nivel, esto es muy peligroso.

entoncs consegi un disco de arranque de MS 98 y lo puse para poder hacer
un FDISK, sale la pantalla de aceptar compatibilidad con discos grandes y
pongo si
pero despues de eso me sale un error al tratar de leer el disco duro

Como se llama la utilidad del fabricante? no me gusta ese mensaje.

Pues si te lo detecta bien, debes saber que no te hace falta para nada
el fdisk de win98, además debes saber, que este tiene problemillas para
trabajar con discos duros mayores de 60 Gb, (en microsoft existe un
parche para solucionar este problema), solo con winXp, deberías poder
trabajar con ese disco sin necesidad de soft adicional que tipo de
disco duro es? IDE? cuales son sus características?
