Windows XP Missing Files

Quick question about Windows XP. A number of us at work share a computer.
Recently, it was discovered that Windows Professional Office Suit was
totally corrupt, so I needed to re-install the entire program again after
deleting the original corrupt application. However, now some private files
and folders are missing. Some claim this cannot be, unless someone make a
conscious effort to purposely delete them. Is this true, or can indeed such
files and folders possibly be eliminate, especially if associated to Windows
Office Suit when that was deleted, then reinstalled?

Thanks,

Hi

Please, in the future ask in English group

You are right, normally, when you uninstall an application, files are no
missing or deleted.
In your case try to use System restore by using the General tab (My PC -
Properties)
Otherwise, try to use a recovery tool for deleted items such as:
http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0...p;tag=srch

If you reinstall the application, files will not be appear in your HD.
Try to run an antivirus/antispyware, I think that if nobody deleted files a
virus can do.
