Windows XP no arranca tras última actualización

El jueves 16.10.08 windows descargó e instaló 10 actualizaciones. Desde
entonces, al rearrancar entra en un bucle. Muestra la pantalla de arrancar en
modo seguro, ultima configuracion correcta... etc. Escoja la opción que
escoja, trata de arrancar y de nuevo me devuelve a la misma pantalla.
Por suerte tengo una imagen del disco duro de hace un mes, la cual he
reinstalado y todo bien, hasta que descarga otra vez las 10 actualizaciones,
me propone su instalación, digo si y vuelta a empezar.
Otra vez he reistalado la imagen y ahora me encuentro con que debo tener
cuidado de no aceptar la instalación al apagar.
De momento voy tirando así, pero no se que pasa.
Dejo las últimas lineas del log de actualización por si alguien puede ver
algo y tratar de solicionar el problema.
