REPLICACION en SQL Server de 64 bits

Hola , en teoria deberia funcionar 10 puntos ya que el motor es el mismo.

Esto no es tan así maxi, las versiones de 64 bits tiene muchas ventajas pero
aún no son 1000 x 1000 compatibles con los sistemas de 32 bits. Estas son las
limitaciones que dicen los books on line.

The 64-bit edition of SQL Server 2000 does not support the following:

Microsoft Jet push subscriptions for merge replication, because a 64-bit
version of the Microsoft Jet data provider is not available.


Transactional or snapshot push subscriptions for ODBC or OLE DB subscribers,
unless the subscriber provides a 64-bit ODBC or OLE DB driver. Check with
your vendor for availability of a 64-bit driver.


Transformable push subscriptions, because the necessary 64-bit Data
Transformation Services (DTS) components are currently unavailable. Pull
subscriptions from a 32-bit installation of SQL Server 2000 should work with
a 64-bit Publisher or Distributor.


En resumen si tienes el driver oledb de 64 bits puede funcionar, yo no lo he
probado así que tampoco podría asegurarlo.

Hola Miguel, me han dicho unas personas que esto funciona y lo tienen
implementado :-) voy a ver si lo pruebo en el fin de semana. Lo que si es
que en yukon la cosa esta mucho mejor con respecto a los 64 bits

MICROSOFT donde toca el tema:

The Replication features of SQL Server 2000 (64-bit) are nearly identical to
the 32-bit version, with the following features being supported:
Snapshot Replication
Transactional Replication
Merge Replication
Immediately updating subscribers
Queued updating subscribers

However, there are a few special cases:
· As the Microsoft Jet engine is not supported, Microsoft Jet push
subscriptions for merge replication are not supported
· Unless the subscriber provides a 64-bit ODBC or OLE DB driver,
transactional or snapshot push subscriptions for ODBC or OLE DB subscribers
are not supported.
· Due to the unavailability of 64-bit Data Transformation Services (DTS),
transformable push subscriptions are not supported
