No puedo instalar IE8

cuando intento instalar ie8, este,termina sin istalarse y me pide que
reinicie el equipo rpara desacer los cambios.
abro ie8.log y en el se lee lo siguiente:

¿Que estoy haciendo mal?.

Una ayuda sera bien recibida

Lo que te indica ese archivo es que existen diversas ramas en el
registro que el programa de instalación no puede modificar, quizá debido
a la modificación de programas de seguridad como antivirus o antiespías.

Lo mejor es arreglar manualmente las que indica y para ello es
recomendadísima la lectura del siguiente artículo para solucionar
problemas de instalación en IE8, cortesía de Enrique Cortés [MVP].
