y baje el SP3a, y asi es como quiero instalarlo...

asi es compadre...asi le hice...
empieza a ejecutar, me pide la cuenta, las primeras pantallas, pero cuando
va en el paso que menciono abajo "Please wait while gathers information", me
pone el error que menciono y me saca de la instalacion
no se si sea que tenga que habilitar algun permiso en el server...o si ya
les haya pasado algo con el win 2003 standar edition...

Si te conectas via remota usando Terminal Services, puedes entonces
subir el archivo de instalación del service pack al servidor y allí en
el servidor lanzar su ejecución.
