How enable my web server to the world

I have a web server (at home) with very personal helpful information like
links, phones, addresses, etc. I have a broadband connection (Bright House
Networks) to a router (cheap linksys router).

How could I access my web server an pages out of my house?

In order to access these pages I use IE6 and the URL is
http://myownwebserver but these work at the local area. How could I
activate it to "open it to the world"?

Thanks,

Hello

Before everything excuses my bad English.

You must open for the port 80 in your router in order that it could see your
web from any point of the world.

Regards
