Problemas con Arranque

Ayuda Hacer una pregunta
Hola Grupo, en mi equipo tebngo un inconveniente con el inicio de Windows XP
Pro. me sale este error cuando se esta iniciando.

No se encuentra el siguiente archivo:

C:\Windows\System32\Config\system

Inicie con el CD de XP e ingrese en la opcion de recuperación y buscando esa
ruta se encuentra el archivo y la verdad no se que es lo que esta pasando.
Si alguien me pueda yudar lo más urgente posible :-(

Sigue estos pasos:

cd system32\config
ren system system.old
ren system.alt systemalt.old
copy c:\windowsepair\system
copy c:\windowsepairegback\system
exit
