Error 0x800A138F Windows Update Error

Tengo un Fujitsu Siemens Amilo con su Windows XP Home Edition.

Cuando pretendo comprobar las actualizaciones que me hacen falta, el 99 por
ciento de las veces se desconecta el modem 56k de internet, provocando un
error llamado 0x800A138F en la pagina web. Luego, en el reporte de windows
update me pone 0x800c0008.

Da la casualidad de que hoy me he bajado los parches necsarios, pero ahora
no se conecta con WU.

Agradeceria una solucion.
