¿Abrir puerto para FTP en Firewall XP?

Hola grupo, una pregunta, si deseo configurar un servidor de FTP desde IIS,
¿necesito abrir el puerto llamado Servidor de FTP del Firewall que trae XP
integrado?, tengo IP dinamica pero solo quiero abrir el FTP para pasar
archivos de vez en cuando a los amigos pero deseo saber si el hacerlo es
seguro o no.
