The MAPIX=1 can be in the section [Correo] for example and not in the [Mail] section.
This is a example for a Spanish version (Correo=Mail in Spanish).

It can fix the following things also :
1 : Missing options in File>Send To in the menu bar.
2 : Excel think that No Mail System is installed.

- [probablemente] en uno de los archivos de 'inicializacion' de windows =>Win.ini< en la seccion de [Mail] =>o.. [Correo]<= =>tal vez 'existan' AMBAS secciones< hace falta una 'entrada' con la instruccion: =>MAPIX=1< [o... posiblemente se encuentre 'marcada' como comentario]

puedes revisar [y/o editar] el archivo C:\Windows\Win.ini
[p.e. en una 'sesion de MS-DOS' usando la utileria 'edit.com']
=>segun tu version del SO<= edit c:\windows\win.ini {Enter}
[si lo 'corrijes'... NO 'olvides' guardar los cambios y... 're-iniciar' windows]
