Buscar en tabla

Ayuda Hacer una pregunta
Necesito saber si hay una funcion que me permita buscar por nombre pero que
en la celda se registre el numero, y como se usaria. La tabla es como la de
la muestra.

Hola ITO!
OK veamos si te 'entendi' en totalidad..
=>Supongamos que tu tabla esta en la Hoja1 [columa A
Numero y en La B Nombre]
La busqueda la realizaras en la Hoja2 [C5]..Colocaras el
Nombre y en [D5] la formula para obtener el resultado
Numeros??..
'Entonces empecemos con asignarle un Nombre a la culumna
[B]de la Hoja1..Selecciona la columna B en su totalidad,
ve al Menu\Insertar\Nombre\Definir..Supongamos[Nombres]
Despues de esto ve a la Hoja2 si es el caso
o 'siguiendo'el ejemplo en mencion y en la celda [D5]
colocas esta formula:
=INDIRECTO("Hoja1!a"&+COINCIDIR(C5;Nombre;0))
Prueba y cualquier duda comentas,
Adaptala a tu necesidad.
